One key work during fellowship
- Last mile delivery of public services faces huge challenges. In 100 such field visits to interior, extremism affected areas , we saw poorly functioning education systems, leading to poor education attainment and lack of opportunities among children and youth.
What was done:
- We initiated to involve local youths, and community to strengthen the education eco-system. Youths are trained on teaching skills, computer skills, and functional English that help them self-learn, and improve their job prospects. With the aid of various additional education services, we encourage these youths to provide education to poor children from marginalized communities.
- We have 50 community learning centres operational where rural youths are providing primary grade education to approximately 750 children.
