Prior work experience:
One key work during fellowship
- Unemployed educated youth and no/less market oriented approach of local artisans.
What was done:
- Identification of opportunities available in the district.
Selection of trades with consultation to stakeholders i.e. Youth, market, training agencies and most importantly learning from previously conducted failed ventures .
Selection of candidates turned out to be the most important step for better retention and output for fields such as wood and bamboo artisans, BPO, hospitality, sewing machine operation and nursing assistant
On the job trainings (OJT) were introduced in every training to make the trainees ready to serve for market.
Provided opportunities and coumnselling for taking up the activity for self employment by trainee artisans.
- Against the target 120 have been trained and out of which 70 have been place across various trades earning 6000 per month on an average. And 10 are moving for self employment through efforts of district trade and industry centre.
A mental overhauling is visible across the district as the successfully placed students are generating a positive vibe.
Additional chief secretary (Panchayati Raj) and Commisioner of jabalpur division has appreciated the efforts.
