Prior work experience:
- Rajesh Singh has worked with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on an AIDS control Project. He has also involved in the establishment of smart card systems for HIV patients. His responsibilities also included liaising with international organizations such as WHO and UNDP.

- High patient load at district hospital, increasing operational cost, No accountability for patient service delivery, Improper drug management and distribution, high patient waiting time.
What was done:
- Current situation analysis conducted.
Consultation with various stake holders like doctors, patients, NIC team.
HMIS named “Niruj” was developed at district level with the help of district NIC team.
Training of hospital staff on new system
- Improvement in patient delivery system, district hospital caters 30,000 patients on monthly basis.
Improved accountability and transparency in district hospital.
Introduction of Digital X ray reduced printing cost by 80% I.e. 8-10 lakh per year
Niruj was appreciated at state as well as national level.
