Prior work experience:
- Arindam Banerjee has worked in the areas journalism, communications, research, project management and consultation. He has also been a correspondent with The Indian Express and written on the Maoist conflict, development issues, insurgency and football culture. He has also been an audio-visual coordinator for a University Grants Commission project

- Lalgarh area in West Medinipur was the epicentre of the Maoist conflict in 2008- 2012

- Extensive field visits to document the existing best practices in the
Need assessment for 40 SHGs and 400 families were conducted and mapped with available natural resources in GIS platform.
Intensive training sessions for SHGs
- 15 SHG sub- clusters, 2 GP Clusters and 1 federation formed in Lalgarh. 2 Bio – Organic Villages developed by SHG women with a local CSO & Agriculture and Horticulture Department
38 SHGs’ received credit linkage of Rs 1 lakh, timely repayment being done
45 SHGs’ scaling up sal leaves plate making. Projected income- Rs40000/ SHG/month in both these areas within the next 6-8 months. .
